Why Totem

We all know the feeling: you pick up your phone to check a quick email, and thirty minutes later, you’re still scrolling social media. Software-only blockers are too easy to bypass with a simple "Ignore Limit" tap. The Electric Purple Totem changes the game by introducing physical friction to your digital habits.

Standard screen-time settings fail because they are purely digital. Totem works because it forces a physical interaction to unlock the apps that distract you most. By requiring you to physically tap your phone against the Totem hardware, it creates a "mindful pause," giving your brain the split second it needs to choose productivity over scrolling.
The Purple Aesthetic
  • Vibrant Pop: A bold, energetic purple that stands out in your bag, on your desk, or on your keychain.
  • Easy to Find: Never lose your focus tool. The bright hue makes it easy to spot when you need to "tap out" of a distraction.
  • Premium Feel: Durable, lightweight, and built to withstand the daily grind.
Key Features
  • Physical NFC Lock: Pair with the Totem app to lock specific, user-defined apps. To unlock them, you must physically touch your phone to the Totem.
  • Fully Customizable: You decide which apps are restricted and when the locks are active. No more "one-size-fits-all" restrictions.
  • No Batteries Required: Using passive NFC technology, your Totem never needs a charge. It’s always ready when you need to focus.
  • Fairly Priced: We built Totem because we were tired of overpriced, subscription-heavy "solutions." High-quality hardware meets an affordable price point.

Used to go out and use this so I would stop going on my phone! Worked like a charm. Will have to try again, they changed the name of the bar I used to frequent.

Great product. Dropped it, wish I had a longer chain. Great idea though, need to be off my phone. I am always on it!
